Creo que esta tarde voy a comprarme tila en cantidades industriales...

Tomorrow we'll be given the 1st prize for "Salsito" of the 2nd RNE Short Film Contest at the Cinematographic Arts Academy of Madrid from 8pm.

I guess I'll go buy loads and loads of lime infussion today...

II Concurso de Cortometrajes de RNE

Es para nosotros un motivo de orgullo y satisfacción el anunciar que "Salsito", nuestro pequeño pajarillo, ha sido galardonado con el primer premio del II Concurso de Cortometrajes de RNE (que consiste en ¡¡kinescoparnos la peli!!).

En esta página podéis escuchar a los dos pollos que somos nosotros hablando, muertos de la vergüenza (al menos Sandra), con Yolanda Flores y Toni Garrido por RNE. Pronto estará disponible el podcast del programa "De película", con Yolanda Flores también, donde volvimos a hablar otro poquito.

¡Muchas gracias a todos por vuestro a-pollo! Salsito se siente más querido que nunca en su vida (aunque eso no es demasiado difícil teniendo en cuenta el nivel de JB en sangre de su santa madre).

 

It's a great pleasure and honour for us to announce that "Salsito", our little birdie, has been awarded with the RNE II Short film Contest first prize (which consists of kinescoping the movie!!).

In this page you can listen to us talking to Yolanda Flores and Toni Garrido on the radio. Soon you will able to download the "De película" podcast, another program led by Yolanda Flores too, where we talked a bit more.

Thank you everybody for your kind support! Salsito is now feeling more loved than he's ever felt in his entire life (despite it not being so difficult considering his holy mother's blood JB level).

"Salsito"

Este es el corto que realizamos Víctor y yo para el Título Propio de Animación (UPV) del curso 2008-2009. De momento, ha sido seleccionado y proyectado en el III Certamen de Cortometrajes de la Malvarrosa (Valencia, España) donde ganó el 1er premio, en Animated Dreams 2009 (Tallinn, Estonia), Cortocomenius 2009 (Valencia, España), Anima 2010 (Bruselas, Bélgica), Animac 2010 (Lleida, España), Cortomieres 2010 (Mieres, España) y Animabasauri 2010 (Bilbao, España).

This is the short film Víctor and I did for the Título Propio de Animación (UPV) during 2008-2009. By now, it has been selected and screened at III Certamen de Cortometrajes de la Malvarrosa (Valencia, Spain) where it got the 1st prize, at Animated Dreams 2009 (Tallinn, Estonia), Cortocomenius 2009 (Valencia, Spain), Anima 2010 (Brussels, Belgium), Animac 2010 (Lleida, Spain), Cortomieres 2010 (Mieres, Spain) and Animabasauri 2010 (Bilbao, Spain).

De Asturias y Cataluña

Ya le hacía falta una pequeña actualización al blog. Me quedan bastantes trabajos que me gustaría subir, pero iré, como siempre, poco a poco, pues que llevo entre manos la construcción de mi página web. Todavía está en fase inicial, pero espero tenerla para este año.

"Salsito" fue proyectado, para nuestra sorpresa, en el pueblo asturiano de Mieres para el festival de Cortomieres. No entró en la sección competitiva, pero fuimos clasificados dentro del programa "Fueramanu", es decir, con todos los frikis (cosa que nos llenó de orgullo y satisfacción).

Por otra parte, también hemos sido seleccionados para Animac 2010, en Lleida, e invitados por la organización a pasar un fin de semana en el festival este mes. Nos alegra mucho esto, puesto que podremos codearnos con muchos más animadores y conocer más el mundillo. Además, nuestro pajarito nunca ha estado por terres lleidatanes y le hace mucha ilusión.

¡Voy a tener que ir preparando merchandising salsero pronto!

It was about time for me to update the blog. I still have quite a few works that I'd like to upload, but I'll go little by little, as always, since I started building my website. I hope to have it ready for this year.

"Salsito" was screened, to our surprise, at the Asturian town of Mieres during Cortomieres festival. We weren't in the competitive section, but we were classified inside the "Fueramanu" programme, which means with all the geeks (something which filled us with pride).

On the other hand, we have also been selected for Animac 2010, in Lleida, and invited by the organization to spend a weekend at the festival this month. We are very happy about this, since we will have the chance to meet many more animators and know this little world a bit more. Moreover, our little birdie has never been to "Lleidatan" land and he can't wait to visit!

De vuelta a la realidad and back again

Pues sí, aquí estamos de vuelta de Tallinn (Estonia), del festival Animated Dreams donde Salsito tuvo el honor de ser proyectado en la pantalla grande. Desde aquí me gustaría agradecer la cálida acogida a nuestra anfitriona estona y a todo el personal de Animated Dreams. Nos lo pasamos de fábula y para mí fue una gran experiencia, como primer festival de animación al que asistía. Esperamos volver pronto a las frías tierras bálticas.

Por otra parte, tengo el honor de comunicar hoy que nuestro pequeño pajarito sigue sus andanzas por el mundo y, en febrero, viajará hasta Bruselas. Los belgas tendrán el placer de sufrir la fobia del polluelo en sus propias carnes durante Anima 2010, el festival de animación de la ciudad. Todavía no sé si sus papás podrán acompañarle en su nueva aventura, pero si es así, lo comunicaremos.

Indeed, here we are, back from Tallinn (Estonia) from the animation festival Animated Dreams where Salsito had the honour of being seen on the big screen. From here, I would like to thank the warm welcome to our host and all the festival staff. We had a great time and it was a fabulous experience for me, since it was the first animation festival I attended. We hope to go back soon to the cold Baltic lands.

On the other hand, I have the honour to let you know today that our little birdie continues his travels around the world and, on February, he will go to Brussels. Belgian people will have the pleasure of suffering his phobias in their own skin during Anima 2010, the city animation festival. I still don't know whether his parents will be able to go with him, but if that's the case, we will let you know.

Nos vamos de festival

El esfuerzo de Salsito está empezando a dar sus frutos, y es que, ¡ganó el primer premio del III Certamen de Cortos de la Malvarrosa! Nos encantó ir a la entrega y, sobre todo, ver la acogida que daba a nuestro pajarito un público que no nos conocía de nada. Ahora Salsito ya tiene coleguitas cerca de la playa con los que ir a darse un chapuzón.

Pero ahí no termina todo. Nuestro intrépido ave se va nada más y nada menos que a Estonia. Sí, amiguitos, ¡Salsito ha sido seleccionado para entrar en competición en el festival de animación estonio Animated Dreams! Eso sí que no nos lo esperábamos. Además, nos han invitado con algunos gastos pagados y hacia allá que viajaremos, ¡a pelarnos las plumitas de frío! Volveremos con muchas fotos y cositas bonitas que contar, así que estad atentos a nuestro blog conjunto, Molho & Milho Entretiming.

¡Gracias por todo el apoyo que estais dándonos! A ver qué más le cae al polluelo (aunque sea un rayo... ejem).


The effort we put into Salsito is begining to give its rewards, as it won 1st prize at the III Certamen de Cortometrajes de la Malvarrosa! We loved to attend the presentation and, especially seeing the reaction of a totally unknown audience to our little birdie. Now Salsito has some new lovely friends at the beach and can go to sunbathe whenever he feels like it.

But, there's more. Our adventurous bird is traveling to, nothing more and nothing less than Estonia! Yes, folks, Salsito's been chosen to compeet at the Estonian animation festival Animated Dreams! We didn't expect that, indeed. And what's more, we've been invited with some paid expenses so there we go! We'll freeze our butts out! We'll come back with lots of pictures and lovely thingies to tell, so stay tunned to our shared blog, Molho & Milho Entretiming.
